Somewhere between the Spring showers and blossoming trees, a beautiful daydream turned into reality. Wedding inspiration is everywhere. It's in the magazines, and targeted ads, but also in sunken gardens and museums. This bridal session by Rhode Island Wedding photographer COLLEEN ANNE LENNEHAN was created for some simple reason; to take creativity and let it bloom.

Spring is such an idyllic time for a wedding, the weather warms up, the flowers pop up, and the bare trees turn green again. It's soft, renewing, and romantic. These are the ideas that were used as inspiration for this editorial. A bride, modeled by Cait Josephine, in something not necessarily traditional, but spring-forward, light and textural florals, designed by INDIGO BLOOMS, with makeup by UPSTYLE CO. so polished and natural it looked as if the bride was kissed by a rose.

The star of the afternoon was the endless layered dress from CLAIRE DE LUNE, so textural and perfectly pink. With outfit changes all the rage on wedding days, perhaps this will spark even more of a desire to let fashion play a large role during the celebrations. Whether you are tucked between rows of blossoming apple trees, or strolling the grounds of a mansion on your wedding day, we hope a little etherealness of Spring finds its way into the design.

A huge thank you to Rhode Island Wedding photographer COLLEEN ANNE LENNEHAN for sharing this beautiful bridal inspiration with us. Colleen's intrigue for photography began at a young age, and over the last twenty plus years it has blossomed into a true passion. She tells us, "I find it so important to document your legacy. I cherish any old family photos I can get my hands on and ultimately, I am driven by the fact that I can capture life’s biggest momentsThough my work is for those both near and far, I consistently photograph weddings along the East Coast. I am incredibly inspired by beauty in all forms; paintings, gardens, an antique diamond ring, a soft touch between soulmates. We are surrounded by it everywhere, especially during events celebrating love. You can see more of her portfolio here.
