Inspired by the concept of creating a micro wedding in the mountains, MARY CLAIRE PHOTOGRAPHY and RACHAEL ELLEN EVENTS created this beautiful inspiration to showcase an intimate wedding that still has all the bells and whistles. Telling us, "Just because a couple swaps their 200 person party for an intimate micro group doesn't mean there can't be gorgeous favours, invitations, and even an outfit change!" We couldn't agree more! Being able to focus more on those elements that are really important to you is such a bonus… for example beautiful paper goods like these ones by Wedding stationery designer INK & PRESS CO.

Stylist Rachael tells us, "For the ceremony, we designed a ground flora installation that was meant to look like wild flowers growing out of the earth. It was the perfect natural and romantic addition to our small setup. The bride wore an off the shoulder LEANNE MARSHALL gown and the groom wore a sage tweed suit. We wanted this to feel natural, and simple in the best ways. She wore her hair in classic curls and carried a petite astilbe bouquet.

Our invitations were inspired by the pairing of old countryside regality and the natural romance of the country. INK & PRESS CO. created a beautiful invitation suite complete with blind embossed chocolate box favours and rose tea bags. My personal favourite detail was the custom rosé label that matched the crest outline of the invitation. The paper goods told a story – from the invite to guest arrival in the country to the dinner and end of the night. These beautiful pieces created the added detail that is so special even for small numbers.

Our table was focused around things that felt lovely but natural. A natural ivory linen and soft taupe napkins paired perfectly with grey china, ivory bone flatware, and classic glassware. Our arrangements were meant to look like white blooms just plucked from the garden and paired with the taper candles, they created the perfect romantic look. The cake was the perfect final touch of romantic etherialism paired with countryside simplicity.

Our bride and groom made an epic wardrobe change for the reception with the bride transitioning into a NEWHITE BRIDAL gown, statements earrings, and a sleek up-do. Our groom swapped his simple sage suit for a black tux."

I hope you find this helpful if you're in the midst of creating a smaller wedding that you'd originally planned, and realise that you can still have the most dreamy wedding, albeit with fewer guests to witness it.
