No matter where you live in the world or how beautiful it is, we’re generally all fascinated with other places. I know I am – I always want to immerse myself into different neighbourhoods and see what their lives are like! Canadian photographer KRISTYN HARDER has always been fascinated with California and the beautiful landscapes, estates & magical light the state has to offer. When planning a trip to Sonoma County, she “came across OLYMPIA’S VALLEY ESTATE, and instantly knew I had to organise an inspiration shoot there. As a creative, I am constantly inspired by nature, the venues I photograph at, and other creatives around me. I decided to play both planner and photographer roles, and I brought on an amazingly talented team of California vendors to complete the project.
The inspiration behind our shoot was simple. I wanted it to be romantic, organic, soft and realistic. The vendors – CARRIE ALDOUS, FLOWERS GIRL EM, ARROW ART STUDIO – brought the romantic vision to life, with the help of one of the most stunning gowns I’ve ever seen (Lela Rose from JIN WANG), while our real couple (Holly and William) brought a fun, authentic feel to the shoot.”
