Old world European style meets sweet southern charm in this effortlessly styled shoot captured beautifully by JULIET YOUNG. Produced by BELLE LUMIERE for their workshop it involved a team of wonderfully talented wedding professionals lead by photographer KYLIE MARTIN and styled by LACY GEARY. Tucked away amongst the whispering Spanish moss and and salt flats of Charleston hides South Carolina’s best kept secret – RIVEROAKS CHARLESTON. The gentle warm breeze of a southern spring morning sets the mood whilst the morning sun glistens on the water as the bride gracefully walks the grounds in her GOSSAMER Gown.

Juliet tells us, “The curators of this styled shoot wanted to make sure the style and overall feel was perfect for River Oaks. The owner Marianne, welcomed us onto her exclusive wedding venue and told a story of how she believes in a marriage larger than a wedding. She is the sole owner and wedding planner so to keep everything curated to her taste it includes sophisticated old world charm and style.

LACY GEARY was the main creative director of styling for this shoot. She blended the European style of the venue with organic textures straight from nature. The invitation suite features handmade paper with a floral-inspired design and a soft, neutral palette. The bride’s bouquet is a wild array of careful blooms and wispy willows all bound together with a delicate silk ribbon. Her silk gossamer gown, which features an unexpected, open back and long, soft ties, gently dances in the breeze with every move.

The tablescape embraces the art of outdoor dining, with an over flowing floral centrepiece certain to start conversation. Each plate has been garnished with a leafy sprig, and the entire tabletop has been kissed with organic details and berries. The desert table is set in front of a wall with a reaching vine and topped with delicate berries and figs. You can almost taste the artistry of Pylon’s cake.

After an early-evening shoot, the bride let down her hair and walked through the gardens on the venue, taking in it’s beauty and breathing in the soft fragrance of the award winning roses on the wall, grown by Marianne herself. She then strolled out onto the dock to witness a breathtaking, South Carolina salt flat sunset.”
