We’re loving the simple elegance of this winter wedding inspiration from London by NATASHA HURLEY. The shoot was planned and styled by THE BOUTIQUE – BRIDAL COOPERATIVE – a unique concept and the first of its kind in the United Kingdom. Bringing small independent suppliers together in a high street shop they offer a place for brides to visit and try everything from bridal gowns, bridesmaids dresses, hair & make-up, hair accessories, stationery, cakes and flowers. The list is endless! Tori from THE BOUTIQUE tells us, “We encourage all of our suppliers to hold their client meetings at The Boutique with the main aim being to make life easy for brides by bringing her a whole host of suppliers under one roof and to support all the small businesses working in the wedding industry by recommending each other and introducing brides to services they are already looking for. Situated in Fulham – the heart of West London – it’s a luxurious and spacious shop filled with beautiful bridal inspiration. Our London Bride shoot brings together the classic and iconic London look with a modern and stylish bride. The shoot is contemporary, modern and elegant with a nod to art deco which always makes me think of amazing parties and the vibrancy of London in particular.

We shot this shoot in the middle of winter on one of those perfect winter days when it is freezing but beautifully sunny so bringing wintery touches into the shoot wasn’t hard. We wrapped our bride in a stunning coat and leather gloves a very classy combination which was elegant and bridal. The early spring blossom was already in bloom so we used this as a back drop to some of the shots but where the trees were mostly bare you can tell spring hasn’t quite sprung yet. We wanted to really capture the magic on London on a cold winters morning.

We chose white, black and green as our key colours. Initially we were inspired by the Pantone colour of the year which is a shade of green and also appears in our branding palette for The Boutique. Two more of our brand colours are black and white so it made sense to use this classic and minimalist colour scheme within the shoot – the cake featured in the shoot sits proudly on one of our shelves in The Boutique today.

The amazing Liz from BLUE SKY FLOWERS created the bouquet, button hole and table flowers for the shoot. Our inspiration was the pantone colour of the year which we predict to take the lead in florals this year – we love green botanicals with touches of white which complement the minimalist colour pallete across the shoot. Liz incorporated herbs into the flowers which smelt incredible and thistles which always reminds me of a winter bouquet.”
