Beautiful bride Nicole had dreamt of getting married at CLOS LACHANCE WINERY since she was a young girl. Her parents were frequent visitors so she was very familiar with the venue and together with her groom-to-be James, they made it happen. Tucked into the beautiful Hayes Valley, CLOS LACHANCE is a true wine country experience located not far from Silicon Valley. Northern California wedding photographer ALICE CHE was there to capture their rustic, elegant celebration which was held outside in the beautiful grounds.

HOW DID YOU MEET? Like many these days, we met online. Shared texts back and forth but eventually he decided to call me. That call lasted for 6 hours, and another call on the day that followed. It was a no brainer for us to meet in person soon after making that kind of connection.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR PROPOSAL: Fourth of July weekend, all of my family around in Dana Point when we were taking family "pictures", I turned around, and there he was on one knee. Everyone was in on it!

TELL US ABOUT FINDING YOUR WEDDING DRESS/ATTIRE: I got my dress from BLUSH BRIDAL COUTURE in Orange County and it was made by ESSENSE OF AUSTRALIA. It was a beautiful strapless gown that was breathtaking.

FAVOURITE DETAIL OF THE DAY: Our custom Neon Light that says "The Noells" that hung in the dance hall. This now sits on the wall of our new home as a constant reminder. Also the flowers were just magnificent I will always remember how beautiful they were! BLOOMSTERS was amazing!

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE OUT TO A COUPLE PLANNING THEIR WEDDING? Hire a Planner/Designer! Don't stress the small things when planning, things will go wrong, let them. You wont remember those things at the end of the day. Also be sure to get the raw footage from your videographer. The day goes by FAST and its nice to see that detail.

MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT? The speeches and the dancing it was all so much fun spending time with our loved ones!

WHAT ASPECT OF THE WEDDING WAS THE MOST IMPORTANT TO YOU BOTH? Having those brief moments together when we were not rushed or told what to do or where to go, but just being able to celebrate together in the moment.

ANY OTHER DETAILS THAT HELP TELL THE
STORY OF YOUR DAY? We had an entire weekend of events. My parents are both from the east coast so  We had a welcome dinner the night before at Corde Valle. All of our loved ones flew in and were able to spend quality time with us!

TELL US A LITTLE ABOUT YOUR HONEYMOON:We went to Akumal beach for 12 days, private pools, beaches bars and food. We also went zip lining and ATVing! We had the best time ever and didn’t want to go back to reality!

A huge thank you to Northern California wedding photographer ALICE CHE for sharing this stunning inspiration with us today. A born and raised Bay Area girl, Alice has always been a huge lover of fairytales and happily-ever-afters, so it didn’t really surprise anyone that she ended up being a wedding photographer! "I love being surrounded by all the love, laughter and tears on a wedding day and am always so honoured that my couples trust me to document their special day. My favourite thing about weddings is my couples themselves and how they personalise their weddings to make them unique to their own love stories." You can see more in her portfolio here.
