Your grandmother's pearl earring—given to her by your grandfather. A vintage photograph from their wedding day, worn and frayed around the edges from years tucked into his wallet. An intricately embroidered handkerchief once carried down the aisle by your mother on her own wedding day. A venue brimming with rich history; walls that hold stories from ages past and ages yet to unfold. These are the details that make my heart flutter: the common threads that tie your love story to the generation before and the generations to come.

Hi! I'm Sarah. I believe that your love story is your legacy. You are planning a wedding that honours your family ancestry and classic traditions... but it's also a celebration to reflect your own unique love story: who you are as a couple, and the legacy you want to create.

As a photographer, I'm passionate about documenting the moments and heirlooms that tell stories of legacy. I consider it an honour to walk alongside you in this process, witnessing your love story unfolding. It's a privilege to capture the images that you and your family will cherish for many lifetimes yet to come.

Interview

IF I HAVE A FREE SUNDAY I WOULD SPEND IT... I would spend a free Sunday leisurely sipping a caramel latte whilst catching up on my latest novel in the wee morning hours. After my family wakes up, we'd pack our favourite lunch into a picnic basket. We would travel to our favourite spot on the beach and snack on our lunch while lying on our blanket watching the clouds roll by. My little girls love to find animals in the clouds.

MY MOST MEMORABLE TRAVEL EXPERIENCE WAS... exploring the side streets of Paris for the first time. Our heels clicked as we walked down the cobblestone streets discovering hidden gardens, window boxes overflowing with blooms and doggies laying on their front owner's front porch.

THE COUNTRY I MOST WANT TO VISIT IS... I would love visit Italy. I will be visiting next year to photograph and I can't wait to indulge in authentic Italian cuisine. The architecture and landscape is something I look forward to most.

WHAT I LOVE MOST ABOUT MY JOB IS... I love getting to know my couple and their family's traditions and heirlooms. What their grandmother wore on her wedding day, the special day they celebrate with their grandpa and photographing her great aunt's hat pin in my bride's bouquet.

IF I DIDN'T DO THIS FOR A JOB I WOULD... go back to my previous job as a registered nurse in the skin care industry.

IF I COULD GIVE NEWLY ENGAGED COUPLES ONE PIECE OF ADVICE IT WOULD BE... prioritise your spouses's feelings.

I LOVE WHERE I LIVE BECAUSE... We have one acre in a wonderful neighbourhood filled with lots of children. Our girls can have the childhood we experienced.

IF I COULD LIVE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD IT WOULD BE... I would live in the French countryside. The slower pace of life, the home cooked meals and the espresso feeds my soul.

MY FAVOURITE MOVIE IS... While it's very cliche, my favourite movie is Nicholas Sparks' The Notebook. Noah & Allie's unwavering love is the love I crave to photograph.

MOST MEMORABLE MEAL I'VE EVER EATEN WAS... I spent a few days with my favourite friends on a girls trip to Charleston. We had wonderful conversation, sensational food and smooth wine at Magnolias. It was an evening I'll always remember.

THE PETS I OWN ARE... We have an English Pointer named Dozer. While he's supposed to be a hunting dog, he is deathly afraid of loud noises and desperately loves to cuddle with you every waking moment.
