Alexis Raine Events

For a person who approaches her work with such purpose, I actually rather fell into the world of events well over ten years ago. Organising trips, parties and activities for friends and family was a quiet constant in my life while I pursued other goals, until I landed back at home in wine country and took my first job as an Events Manager at an exclusive private club more than a decade ago.

After attending and graduating from an east coast university and then living in Asia, I was eager to dive back into my native northern California. Wine education, masterful hospitality and a love of nature kept me engaged and inspired while I gathered wisdom and experience from incredible mentors. Working alongside the best of the best for many years, I eventually developed my own signature style and narrative.

Creating Alexis Raine* Events was the natural next step , and it has been a joyful experience to share my passion with clients and partners who resonate with my unique and customised approach to event planning. Designing, traveling and unraveling complicated challenges continues to be rewarding, exciting and fun!

While at home in California, I love camping with my daughters, the ocean, entertaining and spending time outside with friends. Watch for us on our global adventures as Alexis Raine Events continues to expand into Europe, Mexico and Central America!

Thank you for taking the time to get to know me! I look forward to getting to know you, too.

Interview

IF I HAVE A FREE SUNDAY I WOULD SPEND IT… baking, reading, hiking or at the ocean – all with my kids and dogs!

MY MOST MEMORABLE TRAVEL EXPERIENCE WAS… trekking in Nepal. Such a beautiful country with the most warm, welcoming and happy people. Friends and I made our way up to Everest Base Camp (equal in height to Mt. Kilimanjaro) with the help of a wonderful Sherpa and had the most incredible experience.

THE COUNTRY I MOST WANT TO VISIT IS… there are so many! The ones I haven’t been to that are calling to me most are: New Zealand, anywhere on the Mediterranean, Kenya, Argentina.

IF I DIDN’T DO THIS FOR A JOB I WOULD… live in the French countryside and host guests and teach them about entertaining and subsistence gardening.

IF I COULD GIVE NEWLY ENGAGED COUPLES ONE PIECE OF ADVICE IT WOULD BE…trust. Hire people you trust, and trust them to do their jobs. This is truly the secret to stress-free wedding planning!

I LOVE WHERE I LIVE BECAUSE… Napa Valley is the perfect balance of bucolic and refined. I love the opportunity to be in the hills, forests and vineyards enjoying nature and then dine at a world class restaurant for dinner. We also follow the seasons closely here, being surrounded by vines that follow a predictable schedule of dormancy, flowering, fruiting, harvest and back to dormancy.

IF I COULD LIVE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD IT WOULD BE… in the French countryside.

MY FAVOURITE MOVIE IS? Robin Hood Prince of Thieves

THE PETS I OWN ARE… Two rescue dogs. Winston, an absolute mutt, who is attached to me at all times and my bestie, and Charlie, a smaller poodle mix who is the cutest creature on the actual planet. You can’t get mad at him with that widdle face!
