If I have a free Sunday I would spend it …
sleeping in and then joining my husband for homemade pancakes and a nice cup of coffee. After that, laying on the couch with our pups and my husband reading, and having reality TV playing as background noise!
My most memorable travel experience was …
I studied abroad in college in Italy. Being American-Italian, it was so exciting for me to go and connect with a culture I felt so drawn to. I learned Italian prior to going, so when I was there I was able to talk to everyone, and really immersed myself. It was the first time I felt I didn’t want to stay still, and wanted to be around other cultures as much as possible!
What I love most about my job is …
the connections with people: I get to peek into their lives, and be a part of them if only for a fleeting time. I get to see their lives through the eyes of their friends on their wedding days, hear stories from their parents while getting ready, and so much more.
I love where I live because …
I love when I’ve heard people say this — it’s the best place to live to escape where you are. Living in the Philadelphia metropolitan area, we’re 2 hours from NYC, 2 hours from DC, 4 hours from Pittsburgh, a 6 hour flight to London, and a 6-10 hour drive to the Carolina’s. Our area makes everything so accessible. For someone who doesn’t like feeling stuck, it’s a great place to be in the mix of everywhere else!
My favourite movie is …
The Butterfly Effect— it’s been one of my favorite movies since freshman year of high school! One thing my mom always said, everything happens for a reason– whatever direction we choose is always the right path for us. The Butterfly Effect exemplifies that showing that even the smallest change in decisions can alter our whole life’s path. If I didn’t run late for class one day, I may have never met my husband at a restaurant we both worked at because that running late sent a cascade of different events to lead us to where we are today. It’s a great psychoanalytical film and really dives into the human condition and neuroscience!
The pets I own are …
we have two Australian shepherds, Kona (5) and Lani (3)! They are the most precious little angels, and devils simultaneously!
