CALL IT A CLAN, CALL IT A NETWORK, CALL IT A TRIBE, CALL IT A FAMILY: WHATEVER YOU CALL IT, WHOEVER YOU ARE, YOU NEED ONE.” —Jane Howard

Anne Rhett Photography

I am a visual storyteller with an affinity for color, light, emotion, and detail. I was born and raised in Charleston, South Carolina and am proud to still call this vibrant city home. Although my wanderlust has taken me from sea to shining sea and across continents with my camera in tow, I still maintain that the majesty and charm of the South Carolina Lowcountry is truly difficult to top!

I first fell in love with the art of photography as a student in the Documentary Studies Program at Duke University, where I spent many long, memorable hours in the darkroom.

Since then, my passion has become a beloved career. I am humbled by the joys of my job and the way my clients invite me to be a part of such beautiful life milestones. I would be delighted to get to know more about you and your love story!”

If I have a free Sunday I would spend it …
exploring a new place with friends and indulging in several unreasonably long meals along the way.
My most memorable travel experience was …
I spent New Year’s Eve photographing a traditional Moroccan wedding celebration in a Casablanca Kasbah. In the week leading up to the wedding, I had an unforgettable time visiting the Sahara desert and Marrakesh, where the textures, colours, and chaos were a photographer’s dream.
What I love most about my job is …
being granted such close proximity to exhilarating, personally monumental moments in people’s lives.
I love where I live because …
I grew up in my current hometown, Charleston, South Carolina, so for me, every street corner bears a memory. Of course, Charleston is objectively wonderful; she has something for everyone to love! Her streets are charming and incredibly photogenic, her food is fabulous, and her marshes, beaches, and mossy trees are the stuff of poetry. Swoon. It is no wonder people love to get married here!
My favourite movie is …
Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo and Juliet – Not a feelgood love story, but what can I say? I love the 90s and young Leo!
