Born and raised on Vancouver Island, and now a destination photographer based in Vancouver, BC, Allison has a unique eye for the details as well as the uncanny ability to direct, compose, and style subjects to capture natural feeling imagery. A childhood fascination with ‘capturing a moment in time’ grew into the passion she has today for creating images with authenticity, that tell a captivating story, and maybe even hold a touch of the magic that first drew her to the medium.

“I see my work as primarily photojournalistic, capturing real moments as they unfold and I just adore movement in some form or another. There’s a nostalgia to the way I photograph a wedding, I see a frame through my lens and then I see it in the hands of a grandchild pointing to the picture and asking “and who’s this?” That is the kind of timelessness I strive for.”
