Meeting on a blind date set up by mutual friends, Joy & Kenneth's relationship was born from such a specific set of circumstances that had to occur in a particular order for this love to bloom to what it has become to this day. When it came to their engagement shoot with Northern California wedding photographer JESSICA KAY, they wanted to showcase who they are as a couple. "We couldn’t think of a better inspiration than Wes Anderson, one of the visionaries whom we bonded over at the beginning of our relationship. We intentionally dreamed up a whimsical, quirky, and symmetrical engagement. With the assistance of the talented Jessica, we chose the architecturally prominent San Francisco City Hall as the venue to start our engagement shoot, representing the movie The Grand Budapest Hotel. We later traveled to an open field for a Moonrise Kingdom-inspired feel. Our photographs have magically represented our love far beyond our expectations and we are thrilled to share it with you today."
A big thank you to Northern California wedding photographer JESSICA KAY for sharing this beautiful San Francisco City Hall wedding with us today. Based in San Francisco Jessica has a passion for capturing beautiful imagery and sweet, intimate moments. Working primarily with film she's inspired by the process and feel of both the film format and printed photographs. "There is beauty all around us everyday from a beautiful sky to a genuine laugh, these are the things that inspire me to create timeless portraits." You can see more of her work in her PORTFOLIO HERE and you should also check out this Refined & elegant San Francisco City Hall Elopement shoot.
