Shooting on an organic goat farm sounds like a great day at the office to me! Jenn & Derrek from FLORA & FAUNA visited LONG HAMMOCK ORGANICS and were completely inspired by the farm owner Ashley. Not only does she run and operate her goat farm on her own, but she also built her house on the property. In addition to all of that, Ashley creates handmade soaps and other beauty products from her farm – which were incorporated into the shoot. Working with florists THE WILDING COLLECTIVE and food stylist SWEET ‘N’ FLOUR this shoot pays homage to a more down to earth bride who is after a more low-key wedding.
Jenn & Derrek explain, “We wanted to tell the story of a do it yourself & down to earth kind of bride, like Ashley. Our shoot was centered around foraging, farming, and supporting small business. Our floral designer foraged for our florals + greenery. We hand dyed linens for the table settings and backdrops. Our baker baked with Long Hammock Organic goat’s milk + farm fresh eggs for the cakes. We also sourced local artisans and small businesses for as much as we could for the shoot.“
