What I wouldn't give to escape to a beautiful retreat like this right now! Colorado wedding photographers ALP & ISLE recently hosted the Cocoon Retreat at THE SURF CHATEAU, situated in the tranquil mountain town of Buena Vista, Colorado. Aimed at offering a calming, balancing and restorative experience for creatives, it took place in beautiful white spaces flooded with natural light and spa linens where attendees could clear their minds, centre, and let creativity bloom. Emily tells us, "We spent two nights together, enjoying nourishing artisanal dinners with a custom menu from WESLEY & ROSE & Cured Boulder. We connected with the beautiful landscape surrounding us with nature studies on meandering walks along the river, followed by a dip in the natural creekside hot spring pools under the stars.
Confronted in a world with an overwhelming abundance of information and an exhaustive pace of creative relevance, attention to business and personal care is frequently overshadowed. While pushing to remain productive, without taking the time to be recharged, the daily grind continues to erode our best. Operating in this diminished state is common and requires more of our time to compensate for our reduced effectiveness. In effect, neglecting self-care lessens our business potency and replaces calm with anxiety, balance with exhaustion.
The silkworm’s cocoon is soft and pliable yet as strong as steel. We can spin ourselves a cocoon to insulate, heal, and renew. Cocoon provides the dedicated space and time to strengthen the muscles of intense focus, restoration, and balance. Returning us to our best while imparting the empowering skills of self-care.
