When we see the name JANNA BROWN DESIGN attached to an editorial we know it's going to be a goodie! This stunning shoot captured by Texas wedding photographer CHARLA STOREY in the Nevada desert is all our windswept dreams come true! I mean who wouldn't want to drift around the sand dunes wearing this incredible dusty blue gown from CAROL HANNAH BRIDAL?

When conceptualising the design for our editorial at Red Rock Canyon, we first considered the key elements playing a role in the concept. The landscape and backdrop for our shoot was the most important variable, as well as the determiner of the palette. We began breaking down elements to create inspiration through descriptive words about what we hoped to see captured at Red Rock. We were left with the following: windswept fabrics, dusty tones, ethereal motions, painted skies, windblown hair, intimacy in the vastness.

Contrasting with the dry arid landscape, the CAROL HANNAH gown with it's light layers of floating fabric inspired the 'Oasis' theme of the shoot. Symbolically the bride represents a relief from the desolate landscape. The table design in warm dusty pink tones is utterly invited to sit at with beautiful paper goods from LINEN & LEAF and textural foliage foraged and created by JANNA.

A huge thank-you to Dallas wedding photographer CHARLA STOREY for sharing this gorgeous desert inspiration with us today. Charla is a Fine Art Photographer with an editorial approach.
