It all began in a college laboratory... Alex was teaching the laboratory class and Eugenie was a student. Her impressive laboratory reports caught his attention and he reached out to ask her for her permission to use the reports as samples for his future classes. They bonded as friends over rock-climbing. As time goes by, his attraction grew for her until one day he gathered enough courage to ask her to go out on a real date. This was the spark that ignited their beautiful journey together.
Both driven individuals with kind hearts pursuing their dreams to become doctors, they encouraged and supported each other through medical and dental school. And when it was time to ask the big question, Alex planned an amazing proposal in Lake Tahoe with an epic view. Unfortunately, on the day of the proposal, Eugenie injured her knee and his epic proposal plan was paused. He attempted again at a second location; this time driving her to another supposedly perfect location, but it was swarmed by a huge crowd. With luck not being on his side, he decided that it doesn't matter where he asked the question. He just knew that she was the "one" and life is beautiful as long as they are together. So he poured his heart out that same night and asked her to marry him. Without a doubt, she said "yes" and began planning for their wedding.
Together they found a perfect venue to announce and celebrate their love for each other. The amazing 360-degree views at The CIELO FARMS in Malibu, California was the perfect location as you can see in these images by Southern California wedding photographer LE VIE PHOTOGRAPHY. It was another chance for them to redeem themselves from the uneventful Lake Tahoe's plan and finally celebrate their love with the breathtaking views. The intimate Tuscan-designed venue inspired Eugenie to gravitate towards mauve and gold tones. With their open hearts, they used a golden ring as a symbol of their marriage to share the message that "With an open heart, you can have enough love to not only love yourself but others as well". A message that is much needed right now in the world!
