Tina and Huy first met at the University of Arkansas. Whilst they knew of each other it took years for them to connect and several months of Tina declining brunch dates from Huy before she finally gave him a chance. Arkansas wedding photographer ERIN WILSON captured their beautiful wedding which took place at OSAGE HOUSE in Cave Springs, Arkansas. The overall vibe for the day was timeless and elegant with wedding planner AMANDA REED helping them pull together a modern romantic event.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR PROPOSAL: Huy took me to Maui, Hawaii for a vacation that turned into a proposal on a yacht in the middle of the ocean. It was perfect. During the proposal, a couple of whales actually swam by our yacht which was super cool.

TELL US ABOUT FINDING YOUR WEDDING DRESS: I had three wedding dresses on the day of my wedding. I had a traditional Vietnamese Ao Dai, a ceremony dress and a reception dress. It was really important to me to have an Ao Dai at my tea ceremony to honour our ancestors and elders. I went with the traditional red and gold dress. Huy's uncle helped us get my perfect dress made. The gold lacing and beads were hand sewn.

For my ceremony dress I wanted it to be very traditional and somewhat vintage with lacing for the church. I loved the shape it gave. My goal for the reception dress was to be lighter than the ceremony dress and with a little more bling.

DID YOU HAVE ANY DIY ELEMENTS? Our cards and gift box were DIY. I bought the gold box off Amazon and used my cricut to cut out our names. I also put our photo guestbook together.

DESCRIBE YOUR WEDDING FLOWERS: FAVOURITE DETAIL OF THE DAY: Our wedding flowers were done by TANARAH LUXE FLORAL and she did an amazing job with our wedding planner AMANDA REED. We went with white florals and light touches of pink in them.

WHAT WAS YOUR FAVOURITE DETAIL? Our favourite detail of the day had to be our floating cake from SHELBY LYNN with cascading florals. Everyone was fascinated by the cake.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE OUT TO A COUPLE PLANNING THEIR WEDDING? Save some time for you and your spouse to eat before entering the reception. Our planner set us some time and we got to eat dinner in each others company before talking to guests and forgetting to eat.

MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT? Having our friends and family from all around the world with us celebrating and being on the dance floor with us.

WHAT ASPECT OF THE WEDDING WAS THE MOST IMPORTANT TO YOU AND YOUR PARTNER? There were many but being with our family and friends at our intimate tea ceremony is a stand out.

TELL US A LITTLE ABOUT YOUR HONEYMOON: We travel very often so we opted out of doing a honeymoon to hang out with our family from our of the country more.
