We're so used to seeing moody images of Iceland - grey skies and atmospheric landscapes - it makes for a nice change to see this editorial by D'ARCY BENINCOSA with it's vibrant blue skies! Granted Iceland looks amazing under any conditions but like I said it's fun to switch things up! Styled by AUGUSTA COLE, it features a stunning dusty blue MARIA LUISA RABELL wedding gown and some beautiful hand-drawn stationery by SIGNORA E MARE.

Augusta tells us, "Iceland's unparalleled landscape, and unending summer daylight, created the scenic backdrop for D'Arcy Benincosa's 'The Path Workshop'. Each image was crafted together to inspire brides who dream of planning a destination wedding. From the seaside, to the modern rustic architecture of the 'Black Church of Buðir', each picturesque location, left us all speechless. The rolling pastures, and waterfalls tucked into each corner of the Snæfellsnes peninsula, created the ultimate imagery for our bride, and her bridesmaid. We were deeply inspired by the colours of the Icelandic country side, with shades of deep ocean blue, and winter green, reigning supreme. We desired for the overall feel of the workshop to represent Nordic artistry, and the ethereal nature that is Iceland. 'Fallegar Brúður' meaning The Scenic Bride in Icelandic, is a collection of photographs that we hope will inspire the modern bride, to venture out of her comfort zone, and into the grandeur of the wilderness.

Whether you are a bride getting married in a traditional church, or eloping in the mountains, choose a landscape with a background that will leave you breathless. Don't be afraid to travel, or explore, when it comes to your wedding day. Look for an untraditional wedding gown that will dance with the wind, and provide movement for your photographer to capture. Get out of your comfort zone, and make those moments happen, moments that will leave you with unforgettable images to cherish for the rest of your life."
