I've said it before and I'll say it again - elopements are my fave! There is something so special about 'running off' to a special place with your loved one to vow to love one another forever more! The understanding of the term elopement may have changed a bit these days - it used to be that you pretty much did simply run away and get married just the two of you without telling a soul and not always with the understanding of your family. These days however couples will openly share with families and friends that they're planning on eloping and may even invite a small intimate group to join them. Either way it keeps the focus on what's at hand. It takes away a lot of the stress and fuss of planning a large event, but none of the meaning and in my eyes it's a super romantic way to start your lives together.

Today's beautiful Big Sur elopement comes from DEVON DONNAHOO who was privileged to capture the celebration of her brother-in-law and now sister-in-law in a Redwood Forest right by the Pacific Ocean. They found a private little spot and exchanged the most heartfelt vows along with their beautiful two month old daughter, Taylee. Devon says, "I was behind the camera getting chills! After the ceremony, we roamed around the resort taking photos in the rock-filled river and then headed to the clear blue ocean at Pfeiffer State Beach."
