Beautiful pastel wedding bouquet.

Gosh could this wedding be any lovelier? I'm such a fan of Meghan Kay Sadler's work and together with the florals by Lindsay Coletta this ticks a lot of boxes! I love that they included the traditional Korean costumes and I love that they had a hayride to transport them to and from the venue. Since they first started dating Allison & Kit they used to say hello forever' to each other and this became the basis for their inspiration. With their venue being beautiful in it's own right it needed little additional decor so they kept it very natural.

How and/or where did you meet? We first met in 9th grade in geometry class. We used to make fun of each other as playground flirting and we later found out years later that we had a crush on each other at the time. We ended up becoming friends for 8 years before we decided to pursue each other. We started off dating long-distance for about half a year (me in Boston, him in Atlanta) and wrote each other piles of letters during that time. I moved back home to Atlanta after I graduated college and it's been amazing ever since!

Tell us about your proposal: It was a few days before my 26th birthday. We tend to throw each other surprise birthday parties every year, so I didn't question when he asked me to put on a blindfold. He took me to a park and when he told me to remove the blindfold, I expected to see a pool of friends' faces saying surprise! but instead, I saw Kit riding towards me on a longboard with roses in his hand. He started off by saying happy birthday and I thought the longboard was just a gift, but then he got down on his knee and turned it around. It said Allison, will you marry me? He prepared a long speech which I hardly remember because I was in a state of shock, but I do vividly remember him asking if I would marry him. Through my happy tears, of course I said yes!

Tell us about finding your wedding dress: My wedding dress hunt was quite the challenge. I was given a free dress only weeks after I got engaged, but I felt like I needed to find one on my own. It was an emotional roller coaster since I had a tight budget in mind, but all the ones I wanted to wear were 3x the ideal price. After having many dresses fall through, I ended up going back to the free one. I worked closely with some ladies in my life, including my mom and mother-in-law, and we altered it to become my perfect wedding dress.

Favourite detail of the day: We loved that the venue allowed the wedding to be so open. We felt more connected to our guests and to our natural, beautiful surroundings.

Most memorable moment? The most memorable moments for me were on the hayride that transported the wedding party to the ceremony, and then back to the reception. I felt so much anticipation while riding to the ceremony but was relieved to be surrounded by my supportive and encouraging friends. Right after the ceremony, Kit also joined us and we were all laughing, cheering, and overall so joyful. My heart was so full.

Anything other details that help tell the story of your day: Kit and I are both Korean American so we knew we wanted to incorporate some Korean elements to our wedding day. We served Korean food for dinner and also a few traditional desserts. Our mothers wore the traditional "han-bok" dress and we also ended up wearing the Korean attire for an hour during the reception.
