We're switching things up today with a return to some vibrant colour in this pretty California wedding by SYLVIE GIL PHOTOGRAPHY. Taking place at CAMPOVIDA � a boutique family run winery in Northern California � the couple took cue from their home's aesthetic, a kind of "Anthropologie boho meets San Franpsycho urban", as they put it. That included loose arrangements of flowers with pops of bright colour, d cor that let the natural beauty of their venue shine through, and a relaxed ceremony performed by Laura's cousin. For happy hour, Jason (who now runs the bar at Alta CA), whipped up some personalised signature cocktails: 'Boody's Barrel-aged Boulevardier' for Jason, 'Bitty's Dark and Stormy' for Laura, and 'Poppa's Gin and Tonic' for her father. The wedding may have taken place in summer sun rather than winter snow, but just like Christmas, it was merry and bright as these beautiful images by SYLVIE GIL. Laura Beaudrow must have been at the top of Santa's nice list the year she met her best friend for lunch in San Francisco's financial district on Christmas Eve - their waiter turned out to be her future husband! Growing up Jewish, Laura had always been a little jealous of friends' Christmas trees, so a few years later, on their anniversary, she and Jason spent a night exchanging gifts in front of her very first tree. Laura gave him a coffee grinder; Jason gave her a ring - and when she said yes, both their Christmas wishes came true.
The couple were engaged beneath a tree (albeit a Christmas one), and they chose to be wed beneath one too - this time outdoors at, Campovida, a boutique winery in Northern California. As they point out: "Not a lot of d cor is needed when you're getting married under a hundred-foot-tall oak tree!"
