Madeline and Michael have been best friends since middle school but when they both happened to be in Paris at the same time three years ago they decided to take the plunge. With such a fairytale love story, Philadelphia wedding photographer KATIE TRAUFFER ran with the Parisian concept, starting with the most Francophile venue just outside Philadelphia - CURTIS ARBORETUM. Katie tells us, "With its stunning hand painted hall and sweeping terraces, it is truly a little slice of Paris right in our backyard. From there we added details embracing classic French style. Soft blue table settings, romantic florals, and artistic touches like delicately calligraphed name scrolls and our incredibly embroidered MARCHESA gown completed the look of this day and Madeline and Michael's joy shined through in every moment."
With planning by LOMI WEDDINGS & EVENTS it features the most beautiful stationery suite by THE VINTAGE INKWELL and romantic florals by BUTTERCUP. Katie continues: "I was deeply inspired by Monet's The Parc Monceau series and wanted to bring that idyllic park day to life which made Curtis Arboretum a natural fit. I focused on capturing the painterly backgrounds found all around Curtis and exquisite details like vintage postcards at each place setting and even incorporating Monet's painting throughout the detail styling to bring this vision to life. I am overjoyed that we could create a day that brought together so many talented vendors expressing their creativity while still honouring our model couple's incredible story."
