Kendalyn & Dillon got engaged whilst on a picnic in the gardens of The Palace of Versailles, and that moment was so special and romantic to them that they wanted to incorporate the colours from that day throughout their wedding design. It was also a nod to the bride's French Cajun background. Captured by ALYSSA JARAE PHOTOGRAPHY the celebration was held at CAMP LUCY. Nestled on an idyllic Hill Country ranch in Dripping Springs, Texas, CAMP LUCY has become the ultimate luxury getaway at the start of the Texas Wine Country and the premier wedding venue in the Texas Hill Country.

Working with planner LOTUS EVENTS, the soft and romantic French blue hues felt like a perfect complement to the Texas Hill Country greenery and the antique, old wood elements of Ian’s Chapel. In sticking with that French blue aesthetic, Kendalyn wanted to have a unique element to the table settings and was drawn to the look of chinoiserie and vintage patterned plates. "We found the most incredible vendor to source these beautiful vintage, mix and match plates, THE VINTAGE LAUNDRY. WHIM FLORALS also created the most magical floral arrangements, blending soft pink and cream florals like hydrangea, peonies, and pale pink rose with soft greenery elements. The pop of colour from the plates paired with the soft and romantic floral arrangements,  textured linens and antiqued brass candles created a truly stunning tablescape. My sister helped make my vision come to life by utilising her branding and marketing skills and creating an amazingly cohesive and beautiful night that truly tied together all of the elements that I love."

One of my favorite elements to the overall wedding design was also the custom watercolour crest created by my best friend and artist DANIELLE LINDSEY. She painted a gorgeous wedding crest that tied in the blue and cream colours with the romantic, floral elements. This crest and the floral outlay elements of the crest were used throughout the wedding in all printed pieces and signage.

This wedding was truly all about family and I feel like my sister, best friend, and wonderful vendor teams helped give us the most amazing “something blue” for our special day.
