Seeing these beautiful images of Paris by Paris wedding photographer MOLLY CARR will have many of us yearning to travel more than ever before. It's a strange feeling to know that you simply can't get to these places at this strange time in the world. Thankfully we get to travel vicariously when we feature gorgeous anniversary shoots like this.

Nearly a year after their destination wedding on the Côte d’Azur, Molly spent the morning with California-based couple Sandy and Sean capturing their love story in Paris. They could not have asked for a more beautiful sunrise and backdrop to perfectly showcase this amazing couple’s joyful and luminous romance.

Molly tells us, "I met Sandy and Sean on my favourite bridge in Paris – Pont Alexandre III – just as the sun began to rise. Not only is this couple gorgeous and incredibly stylish, but they are so very nice and so in love. Within moments I felt like I was simply spending the morning with old friends, and they completely relaxed in front of the camera with me. Sandy wore a black floral dress by Reformation and opted for a soft and romantic hair and makeup look by MODERN BRIDE PARIS.

One of the best parts about an anniversary or engagement session in Paris is that, not only is the city’s beauty an incredibly elegant backdrop for photos, but it also has a way of distracting your attention away from the camera and towards each other. This makes for some of the most authentic and romantic moments!

We had planned to head to Île de la Cite next, but the light was so incredible so we decided to head to the Louvre for a few photos under the Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel. And, how glad I am that we did – I have never seen the arch illuminated in such a majestic way!

Finally we hopped into a taxi to our final destination – the beautiful Place Dauphine on Île de la Cite.  Built in 1607 by Henri IV, Place Dauphine was named after his son, the Dauphin of France, who would later become King Louis XIII. This beautiful little square in the center of the Seine has a dreamy village-like feel that somehow always remains quiet, even though it’s just steps away from some of the most popular monuments and vistas in the city."
