Ok wow... there is literally just so much joy emanating from this stunning New York garden wedding! I now firmly believe that all weddings should have a post ceremony parade through the forest accompanied by a brass band! I mean how fabulously fun does this look? Their entire day was beautifully captured by ASIA PIMENTEL. The whimsical and magical setting that CARAMOOR GARDENS offered made it an easy choice for Christina & George, and it's stunning sunken garden was the perfect backdrop to the lush florals and gold accents that the couple had in mind.

HOW DID YOU MEET? We met in New York at a space called the Happiest Hour. It was the happiest day!

TELL US ABOUT YOUR PROPOSAL: At the time, he lived in Seattle and I lived in New York, but was moving soon to Seattle. My sister convinced me that she was throwing me a going away party and when I ran home to meet her, opened my apt front door, George was standing in my living room surrounded by hundreds of beautiful white flowers, string lights and candles. I had no idea he was going to propose, let alone that he was in New York! I was completely surprised, in tears… and of course said yes!

TELL US ABOUT FINDING YOUR WEDDING DRESS: I am from the Dominican Republic, and since we decided to get married in New York, I loved the idea of having a Dominican fashion designer custom make my dresses. I wanted my dress to be soft, flowy' and delicate–the designer is wonderful and made my dress dreams come true.

DID YOU HAVE ANY DIY ELEMENTS? I work in events myself, so I designed the majority of the wedding. The colour palette selection, types of flowers and vases used in the flower arrangements, hanging flower centerpieces above the dance floor, every printed piece for the reception, the guests table, each moment from the parade to the way we walked the aisle, how the flowers were placed on the cake, the Greek moment towards the end of the night.... I designed and planned every detail. George was very involved and designed every musical aspect of the wedding with me. We also did our own wax seals for the invitations and made the headpieces for our Greek party moment! It was a lot of fun.

DESCRIBE YOUR WEDDING FLOWERS: We wanted everything to match the whimsical garden aesthetic. The flowers mimicked that feeling as well. They were a mix of all white flowers, from peonies to camellias and delphiniums combined with “wild” green accents like seeded eucalyptus and dusty millers and maidenhair ferns.

FAVOURITE DETAIL OF THE DAY: The parade through the forest with a brass band playing our song "You've got the love" by Florence and the Machine was one of our highlights :) We offered our guests "props" to use as they walked with us that included, tambourines, parasols and custom flags with the bride and groom’s initials on them.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE OUT TO A COUPLE PLANNING THEIR WEDDING? George and I are both creative directors so the planning and creative directing of the wedding brought us closer than ever. We loved being a part of the process and it made us appreciate everything the day-of even more. Enjoy those moments because they are special ones that will make everything on the day-of worth it! Oh, and the day goes by so fast so take time to pause, look around the room and appreciate how everyone there is celebrating your love for one another.
