Sarah & Blaine were after a classic, romantic style for their Southern California wedding. Being wine lovers they were sold on having their wedding in a beautiful courtyard surrounded by vineyards and SOUTH COAST WINERY in Temecula offered them just that and more. Captured by Southern California wedding photographer MALLORY DAWN they had a subtle travel theme entwined throughout the day since they both have a passion for exploring the world.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR PROPOSAL: We got engaged in Yosemite National Park on July 1, 2020. We went on a hike and Blaine proposed to me by the most beautiful waterfall. It was a complete surprise!

TELL US ABOUT FINDING YOUR WEDDING DRESS: I found my dress at a store in Korea town, LA called Beautiful Day Wedding. The designer for my dresses is Pronovias.

DID YOU HAVE ANY DIY ELEMENTS? We had a lot of DIY elements at our wedding such as: bridesmaid getting ready robes, wedding welcome sign, seating chart, various signs with a travel theme, favour (luggage shaped cookies baked and designed by my mother in law).

DESCRIBE YOUR WEDDING FLOWERS: My wedding flowers represented a modern and classic look. The colours consist of neutral, white, mauve, and green.

FAVOURITE DETAIL OF THE DAY: Luggage shaped cookies baked and designed by my mother in law!

Mallory shares with us, "Getting to photograph Sarah and Blaine’s wedding day was such a treat. It was a beautiful day in Temecula, California when these two gathered with their closest friends and family to say “I do”. They chose to get married at South Coast Winery which is full of so many beautiful backdrops for portraits. The Flower by Yoori Kim used such a stunning and classic colour palette for the florals and the day ran so smoothly thanks to the talented planning team, Events by the Cea. Sarah chose to wear two different gowns, both with beautiful lace detailing paired with a classic up-do created by Chiali Meng Artistry. Sarah and Blaine are just simply a joy to be around to I absolutely loved capturing this special day for them. Congratulations to the newlyweds!"

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE OUT TO A COUPLE PLANNING THEIR WEDDING? Don’t sweat the small stuff. Remember that the main purpose of the day is that the two of you are getting married. Things will go wrong and not as planned, but try to enjoy every single moment because it goes by fast!

MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT? Most memorable moment was when we exchanged vows. We wrote our own vows and we both got very emotional. It is something we will always remember.

WHAT ASPECT OF THE WEDDING WAS THE MOST IMPORTANT TO YOU BOTH? The most important aspect of the wedding was the ability to have all of our family and close friends there to celebrate with us.

TELL US A LITTLE ABOUT YOUR HONEYMOON: We went to Turks and Caicos. It was so fun and relaxing! We mixed in activities along with just being lazy beach bums!

IS THERE ANYTHING YOU WOULD CHANGE OR DO DIFFERENTLY? Looking back we would not change a thing.

A big thank you to Southern California wedding photographer MALLORY DAWN for sharing this beautiful wedding with us. "I would describe my style as bright, soft, romantic and elegant. I can honestly say that I value the relationships I create with my clients. I only photograph a limited number of weddings each year to ensure my couples receive the best service possible. I am so passionate about what I do and I would be honoured to document your love story."
