EMILY BLUMBERG PHOTOGRAPHY captured these beautiful bridal images at the stunning PIPPIN HILL FARM & VINEYARD in Charlottesville, Virginia as part of the Belle Lumiere Workshop. With stunning florals by LAUREN EMERSON and a gorgeous gown by one of our favourite designers RIME ARODAKY, it truly is a feast for the eyes.
Stylist & planner LAUREN shares with us, "Where tradition meets fine art" is our motto at Lauren Emerson Events & Design and we absolutely wanted that to translate into our shoot at Pippin Hill. We had a beautiful dress by Rime Arodaky that was a large inspiration for this shoot. The lace long sleeve top screamed tradition, but the open back and pleated skirt gave a nod to our fine art and modern style. We wanted a bouquet that would play into the juxtaposition of the dress and the ruffled petals of our Grace Rose Farm blooms and cleaner lines of the tuberose did just that. Our table scape was a continuation of these clean lines and softer accents. We went with a monochromatic typography menu with a border placed on top of soft linen napkins. Our table runner was generously lent to us from Stella Wolfe and we absolutely loved how it draped over the hard edges of the wood and iron hairpin table legs. No detail was by mistake, we even chose the bentwood chairs to mimic the table leg shape.
My favourite detail of the shoot by far was the cake created by SWEET FIX. Not only were the sugar flowers spot on with the selections we made for the bouquet and centerpieces but the overall texture and colour of fondant were to die for. Amanda created a soft marbled almost paper like appearance that we just couldn't help but go gaga over."
