If you haven’t been to Carmel-by-the-Sea in California, I suggest to add it to your list! I fell in love with it a few years back. It’s the cutest little town that looks like it’s stepped right out of Europe with a blend of west coast chic. The lovely MACKENZIE JANE PHOTOGRAPHY recently visited this magical place and put together this gorgeous old-world inspired shoot. With gorgeous florals by FIONNA FLORAL and the most amazing invitation suite by HELLO MAURELLE it’s a feast for the eyes.
Mackenzie shares with us, “This Carmel-by-the-sea elopement shoot was felt like stepping back in time. When considering locations and venues, we didn’t feel that a beach was necessarily the right fit for the European mood of the shoot, so we began searching local venues within the Carmel area. We ultimately decided on Carmel Mission church, Carmel’s most infamous church that was authentically restored in 1884. An integral piece of Californian history and architecture, this charming church is filled with gardens and a quaint courtyard, making it the most romantic locale for an intimate elopement. With stationary from MAURELLE CALLIGRAPHY that featured hand-drawn sketches of the church and blush gown from TRUVELLE, each element of this shoot worked together seamlessly to convey a rich, colourful, Spanish feel.”
