Set against the pastoral beauty of Bourne Farm in Falmouth, Massachusetts, Anna and Tyler’s wedding, captured so beautifully by LENA MIRISOLA PHOTOGRAPHY and thoughtfully planned by DEERING EVENTS, was a celebration rooted in meaning, memory, and an unmistakable sense of ease. With florals by FORET DESIGN STUDIO echoing the surrounding landscape, every element felt gently woven into the fabric of the farm itself.
A Serendipitous Beginning
Although Anna and Tyler both attended the same college in Saratoga Springs and even moved within overlapping circles, their story didn’t truly begin until a chance connection on Hinge. Working for the same company yet never crossing paths, it seems fate had its own quiet timing in mind. What followed was a relationship that feels just as organic and unforced as their wedding day itself.
A Proposal with Personality
Set on the dock of Tyler’s beloved Martha’s Vineyard home, the proposal was both deeply personal and delightfully unexpected. Despite Anna choosing the exact date and location, Tyler still managed to surprise her—thanks in part to a charmingly unconventional delivery. Two alpacas arrived via “llama-gram,” presenting Anna with a playful tie-dye keepsake, setting the tone for a celebration that would never take itself too seriously.

Honouring Place and Meaning
Bourne Farm was always more than just a venue. For Tyler, it had been a childhood dream; for both of them, it offered a setting that aligned perfectly with their vision—something simple, thoughtful, and integrated into nature. Steering away from the preppy Cape Cod aesthetic, they leaned instead into something more grounded and rustic, inspired by cranberry bogs and farmland textures.

“Perhaps the most memorable moment belonged to their dog, Sara, who instinctively found her familiar resting place in the train of Anna’s gown and and settled in.”

A Morning of Ease
The day began quietly at home, with a relaxed, come-and-go atmosphere that felt refreshingly informal. There were no matching robes or rigid timelines—just lounge clothes, music, and plenty of good food (including ribs and bagels to keep spirits high). Friends and vendors drifted in and out, creating a sense of calm anticipation rather than ceremony.
A Sweet First Look
Their first look unfolded at the barn that had already become a central gathering place during their celebrations. But perhaps the most memorable moment belonged to their dog, Sara, who instinctively found her familiar resting place in the train of Anna’s gown and and settled in. It was a simple, tender moment that perfectly captured the heart of the day.

Fashion with Meaning
Anna’s custom gown by VATIT ITTHI reflected both personal connection and refined craftsmanship. Designed by Khun Vatit, whose work is beloved by Anna’s circle (and approved by her mother), it felt like a natural choice. Tyler opted for classic tailoring from DRINKWATER’S CAMBRIDGE, bringing a timeless balance to the overall aesthetic.
Florals Inspired by the Land
Florals were intentionally local and seasonally grounded, designed to feel as though they had been gathered straight from the surrounding fields. Loose, airy arrangements featured fruiting branches and in-season persimmons which were an especially meaningful touch that extended beyond the day itself, later transformed into wild yeast for sourdough by Anna’s mother.

A Ceremony Full of Heart
The ceremony unfolded with an organic rhythm, embracing imperfection in the most beautiful way. Their nephew Riley abandoned his role as ring bearer in favour of walking with family, a spontaneous moment that only added to the intimacy. Anna walked down the aisle to a piece her grandfather once played on the violin, while their officiant, a close friend, shared their story with warmth and authenticity.

Skipping a formal, structured cocktail hour, Anna and Tyler chose connection over convention, weaving through their guests and soaking in every moment.

Celebration in Motion
Skipping a formal, structured cocktail hour, Anna and Tyler chose connection over convention, weaving through their guests and soaking in every moment. This decision led to photographs that feel vibrant and alive; filled with movement, laughter, and genuine interaction. Even their large family photo, delightfully chaotic, became part of the shared experience.
Music, Energy, and Joy
Music played a defining role in shaping the atmosphere. While Tyler had strong opinions (and initial reservations), the chosen band quickly won him over. With disco and soul influences and even a specially learned rendition of “I Like It” by DeBarge, the dance floor filled early and never emptied. It was a testament to how comfortable and free their guests felt.

A Sweet Ending (and Beginning)
The reception was punctuated by a much-anticipated cake from LIZZIE’S BAKERY, a standout from many tastings and a detail Anna had long dreamed about. Like every other element of the day, it was chosen with intention, but enjoyed without formality.
In the end, this was a wedding that gently redefined tradition—prioritising people over perfection, feeling over formality, and connection above all else.
