If these images don’t have you ready to book your own Greek island wedding, we’re not sure what will. There is something undeniably magical about a celebration in Greece — the light, the sea, the music, the sheer joy — and Nathalie and Adam’s wedding at VILLA VENTURI on the island of Kefalonia captures it all. Photographed by Magnolia Rouge Vendor VERONIKA MAXANTOVA PHOTOGRAPHY and planned with effortless precision by NYMFEE WEDDINGS, this was a day that balanced serenity with spirited celebration in the most beautiful way.
A Modern Beginning
Nathalie and Adam met in the most modern of ways — via a dating app they both claimed to dislike. It was Nathalie’s very first time on the app, and Adam was her first match back on it. Sometimes, it really is that simple.
What began with reluctant swipes soon turned into something far more meaningful — a relationship that would lead them to fall in love not only with each other, but with a small corner of Greece that would later host their wedding.
A Proposal in Antibes
Adam chose the south of France — Antibes — for his proposal, during what was Nathalie’s birthday trip with her family. No one knew his plan, not even her father.
After booking a beautiful sea-front restaurant under the guise of a birthday dinner, Adam insisted they take a walk. Nathalie wasn’t particularly keen, but he persisted. Finding a quiet opening with a sweeping sea view, he told her to face the water and pose for Instagram. As she did, he got down on one knee behind her. When she turned around, the surprise was complete.

Guests were asked to wear neutrals and blues, creating a beautifully cohesive visual harmony with the villa and surrounding sea.

Why Kefalonia
Kefalonia held a special place in their story — it was where they had taken their first holiday together and fallen in love with the island, particularly the northern village of Fiskardo. Though they visited another Greek island while venue scouting, the moment they stepped into VILLA VENTURI in Fiskardo, they knew.
Fiskardo itself is a rare gem — a picturesque, cosmopolitan harbour village known for its colourful Venetian-style architecture that survived the 1953 earthquake. With its yacht-filled marina, elegant restaurants, boutique shops, and nearby pebbled beaches like Foki and Emplisi, it offered the perfect blend of relaxed Ionian charm and understated luxury.

Instead of a traditional chuppah, a sculptural white tree installation formed the ceremony backdrop — ethereal and architectural all at once.

Fashion with Intention
Nathalie’s fashion choices were layered with meaning and aesthetic intention. Her gown by VIVIENNE WESTWOOD — coincidentally later worn by Demi Lovato for her own wedding — brought a sculptural, romantic elegance to the day. Her bespoke veil by BROWNS BRIDE in Marylebone was simple yet exquisite, adorned with individually hand-placed diamantés that twinkled softly in the Greek sun.
Her Gucci heels were chosen not only for their elegance but for their subtle symbolism — the iconic horseshoe emblem felt perfectly aligned with Villa Venturi’s equestrian history, as each bedroom on the property was named after one of the owner’s beloved horses.
Adding a deeply personal touch, Nathalie wore a vintage necklace gifted to her grandmother by her grandfather — a sentimental heirloom that grounded the fashion-forward look in family history.

A Ceremony Under a White Tree
As an interior designer, Nathalie approached the florals with the same attention to detail she would give a curated space. Working with BOSONIS ART, she provided a full inspiration brief to ensure every element aligned with her vision.
Instead of a traditional chuppah, a sculptural white tree installation formed the ceremony backdrop — ethereal and architectural all at once. It was exactly as she had imagined, and in a poetic continuation of the day, a smaller-scale version now lives permanently in their home.
Getting Ready & Greek Island Energy
Adam described his morning as feeling like a Vogue photoshoot — and judging by the images, we believe him. The atmosphere was lighthearted and full of anticipation.
As the sun dipped lower and the celebration unfolded, the true spirit of a Greek wedding came alive. There’s no party quite like one on a Greek island — music drifting into warm evening air, guests dancing beneath open skies, and a palpable sense of shared joy that feels almost cinematic.
Through VERONIKA MAXANTOVA’S lens, every candid laugh and windswept embrace feels vibrant and unfiltered. Nathalie and Adam’s wedding at VILLA VENTURI wasn’t just beautiful — it was alive. Serene in palette, elevated in style, and overflowing with the kind of celebration that only a Greek island can deliver.
