A little known fact about me… I'm a huge tennis fan. Have been for years! Used to play as a teenager and still love to play when I get the chance, but I'm an avid spectator and watch whenever I can and follow along all year. So that being said I'm excited to be featuring this absolutely stunning wedding of the beautiful Clémence to her professional tennis playing beau, Lucas Pouille. Taking place in the South of France at a private estate, it was planned by CELEBRATE AGENCY who also styled this chic yet laid-back celebration. Gorgeous images by JACQUI COLE ensure this is one celebration you'll wish you were at!
The bride spent her childhood summers in the South of France and Cannes, and the couple wanted to ensure sunshine on their wedding day, so their decision to get married in this region was an easy one.
HOW DID YOU MEET? On a tennis tournament (Lucas’ first professional tournament),we were 15 and 16.
TELL US ABOUT YOUR PROPOSAL: Lucas proposed during the fireworks for Bastille day, on a boat in Cannes surrounded by all our friends.
TELL US ABOUT FINDING YOUR WEDDING DRESS: I spent three days just my mom and i, going to several wedding dress shops in Paris and London. I found my dress in the very last shop we went to and the style I chose was absolutely not what I had in mind when I started looking.
DESCRIBE YOUR WEDDING FLOWERS: I only wanted flowers, no greenery. We wanted something that felt fresh, in white and light pinks. I wanted a lot of pampas.
FAVOURITE DETAIL OF THE DAY: When i was walking down the aisle, i saw all of our friends and family in white (for the women) and blue (for the men), it was really beautiful and really special to see our vision come together.
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE OUT TO A COUPLE PLANNING THEIR WEDDING? Get a wedding planner if you can! This allows you to be 100% in the moment and enjoy everything. A really good DJ or band is also essential to make sure your guests have a good time and dance.
MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT? The first look with Lucas before the ceremony was a very special moment. Also, the walk down the aisle, seeing the people we love beam with joy or cry of happiness.
We wanted the ceremony to be beautiful, sincere and full of love. And we wanted people to have fun.
The table plan was actually a wall of shots with people’s names and table number so that we could make a toast once everyone found their seat.
TELL US A LITTLE ABOUT YOUR HONEYMOON: For our honeymoon we wanted something a bit different so we decided to go on a safari for a week.
