Amanda Wei Photo

Amanda cares deeply about capturing life’s most genuine moments. Her warm personality and sense of humor will put you at ease. A hopeless romantic, she truly believes in every type of love that you celebrate on your wedding day — from intense devotion to giggly camaraderie. Her favorite wedding shot often happens right after the officiant declares the couple as married; everyone’s anticipation and nervousness dissolve, leaving a relaxed, sentimental moment to cherish for years to come. Amanda’s clients are always impressed with her endless energy, which she draws from doing what she loves every day.

In her spare time, she enjoys surfing and hanging out at home in El Cerrito with her wiener dog, Willie. Amanda is a formally trained artist with a degree from University of California, Santa Barbara with a focuses in photography and graphic design. She continued her studies at the Brooks Institute of Photography before moving to the Bay Area and becoming completely smitten with weddings.

“Amanda was the sweetest. She gave us all the needed direction and helped set up our ceremony to get the best pictures. Her team communicated with me regularly and gave good recommendations on how to make our day go smoother. Her presence is exactly what we needed on our big day.”

If I have a free Sunday I would spend it …
it’s rare that I have a free Sunday! But in my spare time I love spending time outdoors, enjoying the beautiful weather that Northern California has to offer. I’d take my dachshund Willie for a long walk, and maybe go surfing – I’ve always loved to surf.
My most memorable travel experience was …
a wedding I photographed in Tulum, Mexico. The wedding was small and intimate, and the bride was free-spirited. The weather was perfect and the water was strikingly blue! It was an unforgettable, yet very relaxed wedding.
What I love most about my job is …
having the chance to work with diverse, creative, wonderful people – which includes not only new clients, but our vendors and other partners, too. It’s so special to get to know couples when they are sharing some of the most fun, memorable experiences of their journey together.
I love where I live because …
what is not to love about the Bay Area? I love how easy it is to access the mountains, great hiking trails, the beach, and more.
My favourite movie is …
I can’t choose between My Big Fat Greek Wedding and Resident Evil – those are my two favourites!
The pets I own are …
my adorable dachshund, Willie! He is family to me. 🙂
