In the homeland of fairy tales, Germany, this editorial draws inspiration from the poetic world of the Brothers Grimm. If a midsummer forest were the cover of a storybook, the moment when light slips through the leaves would be the soft sound of fate turning a page. Beneath the canopy, the world seems to breathe more slowly — quiet, gentle, and set apart from everyday life.

Captured by photographer AGNES ZUMZUM and curated with florals and overall design by 24 SEASONS OF FLOWERS the shoot brings a storybook forest wedding to life, allowing fleeting moments of love to settle softly into the light.

The setting itself feels almost mythical. ORT DER ZEIT, which translates to “a place for time,” is a secluded farmstead nestled in Schleswig-Holstein in northern Germany. The landscape feels suspended in stillness: natural ponds mirror the sky, a mill lake holds the horizon in quiet reflection, and meadows stretch out until they dissolve into woodland.

A gentle stream winds through moss-covered roots and forest floor, creating the feeling that nature itself is whispering. Here, time is not measured in hurried moments but flows slowly, inviting visitors to pause, breathe, and simply exist within the landscape.

Floristry played a central role in translating the spirit of the forest into design. A wide range of summer botanicals was chosen, with white, ivory, and layered greens forming the foundation of the palette. Soft blush and pale yellow tones lifted the arrangements with subtle warmth, echoing sunlight filtering through leaves.

Rather than acting as decoration, the florals feel like living presences within the space. Each stem and leaf moves gently with the breeze and shifting light, creating an atmosphere that feels organic and quietly abundant.

All arrangements were created using a foam-free approach, with vessels sourced from independent ceramic artists and many flowers grown locally. The result is textured and natural — as though the forest itself had arranged the table according to its own quiet rhythm.

The bridal gowns by WHITE CHERRY in Hamburg echo the editorial’s ethereal atmosphere. With clean silhouettes and elegant lines, the dresses feel both classic and modern at once.

Their quiet luminosity allows the bride to move through the forest almost like a mythic figure — light-footed, serene, and captivating in her simplicity.
