Autumn Rosé unfolded as a thoughtful exploration of fall, expressed through form, warmth, and layered design rather than traditional seasonal motifs. Set within the historic grounds of LAKEWOLD GARDENS, this editorial embraced a sculptural, editorial approach—one that allowed shape, texture, and tonal richness to lead the narrative. Planned and styled by EVENTS BY GENEVIEVE and beautifully captured by AARON LIU, the shoot reimagines autumn as something refined, modern, and quietly expressive.
LAKEWOLD GARDENS offered an elegant and storied backdrop, its classical architecture and formal gardens grounding the design with a sense of permanence and romance. Against this timeless foundation, a nuanced palette of rosé, terracotta, deep red, burnt orange, and warm brown unfolded across the florals, tablescape, and styling details. Each hue felt intentional and layered, evoking the warmth of fall while maintaining a distinctly editorial sensibility. A meaningful nod to the venue’s role as an art gallery for local artists appeared through the stationery, with HONEST CALLIGRAPHY presenting the menu as a painted artwork—an understated homage that felt both personal and poetic.

Designing Through Shape and Geometry
Shape served as a guiding design thread throughout the day. The ceremony leaned into circularity, with guests seated in the round to create an intimate, architectural moment within the gardens. This formation softened the space, encouraged connection, and drew focus inward, allowing the ceremony to feel immersive and deeply considered.

Rich blooms were layered with seasonal fruit, adding texture, depth, and a sense of movement to the compositions.

Structure and Abundance at the Reception
The reception introduced a deliberate contrast. Long rectangular tables were arranged into a larger rectangular formation, creating a defined perimeter that framed the dining experience. At its center, a lush floral meadow transformed the negative space into a moment of abundance. The interplay between structured lines and organic florals created visual rhythm, reinforcing the balance between softness and structure that defined Autumn Rosé.
Florals as Sculpture and Texture
Florals by ANTHERA FLORAL played a central role in shaping the atmosphere. Rich blooms were layered with seasonal fruit, adding texture, depth, and a sense of movement to the compositions. The fruit introduced warmth and dimension while maintaining a refined, sculptural quality—echoing the surrounding gardens while elevating them through thoughtful design.

A Cake Designed as an Installation
The cake by CAKE AND CRUMBLE continued this exploration of form and movement. Suspended as a floating installation, the multi-tiered design featured delicate rice paper waves that wrapped each tier, creating an ethereal sense of motion. Elevated within the space, the cake felt more like an art piece than a traditional centerpiece, its lightness offering a striking contrast to the deeper tones woven throughout the design.

Rather than acting as a backdrop, the stage became part of the overall design language, adding elegance and energy while reinforcing the shoot’s sculptural focus.

Music, Movement, and Atmosphere
Music and atmosphere were seamlessly integrated into the visual story. A custom-built stage by ON THE WALL DESIGN STUDIO housed a live string duo from THE SEATTLE STRINGS, allowing the performance to feel architectural and intentional. Rather than acting as a backdrop, the stage became part of the overall design language, adding elegance and energy while reinforcing the shoot’s sculptural focus.
Lighting as Architecture
Lighting played a transformative role, evolving alongside the geometry of each space. LIGHTSMITHS’ Euro Collection chandeliers anchored the design, with sculptural standing chandeliers placed around the ceremony stage. Their curved silhouettes subtly echoed the circular seating, adding warmth and softness without overwhelming the garden setting. Smaller tabletop chandeliers were woven directly into the ceremony florals, casting a gentle glow. As the day transitioned into the reception, these elements were reimagined—the standing chandeliers framing the rectangular dining layout, and the tabletop pieces moving onto the reception tables. This thoughtful layering of light created continuity while allowing each space to feel distinct.

Thoughtful Touches for the Guest Experience
Guest experience was woven thoughtfully throughout the editorial. A live portrait illustrator offered custom keepsakes, bringing a playful, human touch to the design. A mobile coffee bar invited guests to linger, while live engraving added a tactile, bespoke element that celebrated craftsmanship and personalization.
A Modern Interpretation of Autumn Romance
At its heart, Autumn Rosé became a study in contrast and cohesion—circles and rectangles, softness and structure, warmth and restraint. Set against the historic beauty of LAKEWOLD GARDENS, the editorial offers a refined interpretation of fall, proving that seasonal design can feel modern, layered, and quietly bold when guided by intention and artistry.
