It was a chance opportunity to shoot in a century-old mansion – HAY HOUSE – that inspired planner
& stylist QUERY EVENTS to create this southern
mansion elopement shoot. "When we got the chance to bring life
and movement back into this stunning historic museum, we jumped all over
it! Greeted by the winding staircase, we made our way to the second
floor where we found a wideopen ballroom and stunning natural
light." It was important to both her and photographer ANNE BROOKSHIRE that they showcase
lots of movement and make that element the focus. "Placing our
model in a simple gown with a skyhigh slit allowed for all the action
shots we were craving! Designing with soft butter yellow, cream and
dusty blue complimented the warm wood tones throughout all each
level." QUERY EVENTS also created
the florals using blooms that would naturally be found in a Georgian
courtyard including large garden roses and magnolia
foliage.
