Having just been to Greece it holds a whole new appeal to me than it did before I went, but whilst a lot of the weddings we see coming from there are the quintessential white buildings contrasted against vibrant blue skies, this celebration by LES ANAGNOU is something a little different, something a little magical. Elena and Giannis got married on a lovely early September afternoon in one of the most rustic and beautiful cities of Northern Greece, Naoussa. Paul & Yiota from LES ANAGNOU tell us more about the day…
"Greece age-long thicket of platans impressed both ourselves and the guests for its magnificence and volume. In its shade rests the immense green of the natural sod that coexists with the wild uncultivated boxwood, the basswood, the oak and the abundant water in a rare agreement of sounds and colours. That was our scenery for this luxe fête by the river. And it was a dream come true.
We first met Elena and Gianni almost a year before their wedding. It was a match made in heaven from the very first appointment. We started planning their special day right away, as it was a very challenging and big event, due to the location and the number of guests. Thoroughly planned and carefully coordinated, this wedding was immaculate.
On the day of the wedding, the couple, as elegant and as handsome as they could be, they were glowing with happiness and anticipation. They chose to celebrate their special day among hundreds of family members and guests, combining a traditional wedding with a luxe fête by the river. The entire thicket of Agios Nikolaos was transformed into a romantic scenery, full of string lights and white set tables and chairs, with gold flatware and white flowers. Fog coming out of the river, while a LOVE sign is shedding light on it, champagne glasses clinking and people dancing happily around the newlyweds until the sunrise. That is our idea of a dream wedding coming true."
