I don't know if you've heard but I'm heading to Antigua in Guatemala next month to join MEGAN ROBINSON for her Art + Education workshop. If you're a fan of beautiful photography and you aren't already following Megan then you need to be! And if you're interested in learning from her… whether you're a beginner photographer or a more experienced one, then come and join us for the trip of a lifetime in Guatemala. To give you a taste of what you're in for we're showcasing this beautiful shoot styled by STAY CO. from her recent Salt Lake City workshop.
Erica from STAY CO. tells us, "When planning a fall workshop with Megan I knew what her workshop was all about and I knew it needed to be as much about the education as the art. But I also knew I could take some risks and make it into something that wasn't your everyday bridal shoot. I automatically knew what colour pallet had to happen; golden tones with pinks with a romantic twist on a fall feast. The concept started with the fashion, we knew we wanted several bridal high fashion looks. I had seen some giant beaded earrings on Kylie Jenner in a Vogue editorial that I wanted to recreate based off a small pair of earrings that STIL WORKS had in her inventory. She agreed to sew together the cocoons and pearls to create very large shoulder length earrings. With these earrings I knew I wanted them to be the statement piece of the whole look so I knew I wanted to pair them with a minimal gown. I knew i had found the right gown when I saw the gown at OFFWHITE BRIDE. We added in a romantic look and then one of my favourite looks of all was an unexpected decision a week before the workshop when I found the most amazing sequin gold and pink jumpsuit. Pairing that jumpsuit with a monochromatic bouquet by LA FETE FLORAL was like seeing a bride leave the runway of her wedding with the perfect late night light to give Megan's attendees a little light education. We knew we wanted a long tablescape that had a large fall feast for all the guests to gather together. ALPINE EVENT CO rented out the longest table and tableware, along with some lanterns that we hung around Tiffany Pliler as she brought all the drama with those Large earrings brining in a little bit of moroccan vibe. La Fete did a floral installation that was monochromatic to the brick interior in our beautiful location at Ember in Salt Lake City, Utah. It was the greatest night with guest speakers, including Heather Nan, charcuterie boards for snacking while the attendees enjoyed lots of art and education."
