Emma and Alex originally planned to say "I Do" in May 2020 however due to shutdowns and COVID restrictions they were unable to execute their original wedding plans – so instead had an intimate ceremony with just their immediate families at Emma's family lake house.
Seven months later, the couple were able to host their classic, sentimental, and a little funny (since they're already technically married) wedding celebration at HISTORIC SMITHONIA FARM right outside of Athens, Georgia where they originally met during their time in college. Captured by Atlanta wedding photographer AMANDA OLIVIA PHOTOGRAPHY, coming back to the Dawg nation to celebrate felt very special to their relationship. Whilst Emma and Alex were already legally married their big wedding felt full of all the joys of a traditional wedding day.
They started their day by separately read letters to each other before sharing a quiet first look together in the rolling hills of Smithonia Farm. Emma then had a quiet moment with her mom and dad before celebrations started to wish the newlyweds the best of luck at the start of their marriage. Their Fall day was filled with the most gorgeous weather topped off with the most heartfelt toasts from parents, the bridal party, and other celebrated guests.
And to top it all off during cocktail hour and the reception Emma's youngest brother played a couple of songs with the band and sang a farewell toast to the newlyweds making the celebration even that much more special.
