WHAT LED YOU TO WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY, AND HOW DID YOUR CAREER BEGIN?
Coming from a traditional Asian upbringing, the creative industry wasn’t seen as a viable career path. My family expected me to become a chemical engineer, and an architecture degree was our compromise—though the thought of drawing lines for the rest of my life terrified me! Deep down, I wanted to be a painter.
Everything changed the week before I was due to start university. We had our first family portrait taken, and my dad, surprised by the cost, turned to me and asked, “Do you want to be a photographer—a light painter?” In that instant, the course of my life shifted. I can’t imagine doing anything else.
Wedding photography became my purpose because it allows me to preserve the most delicate and fleeting moments—a father quietly telling his daughter how proud he is, a grandmother feeling the love of her granddaughter, a groom stealing a glance at his bride, utterly besotted. Beyond creating beautiful imagery, I hold space for these once-in-a-lifetime emotions.
Blending this with my love of aesthetics, my journey has been shaped by a deep appreciation for storytelling, elegance, and human connection. Over time, I have had the privilege of working with discerning couples who value both artistry and authenticity in their wedding imagery—a journey that continues to evolve with every love story I capture.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY STYLE, AND WHAT SETS YOU APART?
Refined yet emotive and poetic, my style blends the sophistication of editorial photography with the raw intimacy of documentary storytelling. I believe luxury is in the details – in the stillness, in the quiet in-between moments. My work embodies a sense of quiet luxury – elegance without pretense, depth without excess.
What sets me apart is my ability to weave a narrative through my images, creating photographs that feel intentional yet effortless. Beyond beauty, I seek meaning.

“While I direct certain aspects, such as editorial portraits before the day unfolds, I also hold space for spontaneity, allowing real emotions to surface effortlessly.”

WHAT IS YOUR APPROACH TO CAPTURING A WEDDING? DO YOU PREFER A STRUCTURED OR MORE CANDID STYLE?
I take a balanced approach – curating moments without overly orchestrating them. While I direct certain aspects, such as editorial portraits before the day unfolds, I also hold space for spontaneity, allowing real emotions to surface effortlessly.
Alongside my own mental checklist of must-have shots, I collaborate closely with couples and planners to ensure every meaningful request and fleeting moment is captured.
WHAT’S ONE OF THE MOST MEMORABLE WEDDINGS YOU’VE EVER PHOTOGRAPHED, AND WHY?
Every wedding I photograph leaves such a mark on my heart, I couldn’t possibly choose just one! These are glimpses of the many legacies of love I’ve been privileged to witness.
A bride sharing a quiet, tearful moment with her father before walking down the aisle—she told me her dad is such an introvert, but that morning he spoke many precious things to her heart. A groom offering a single rose to his mother, a gesture of gratitude for raising him alone. A mother who had always dressed her daughter for dance recitals, now buttoning her wedding gown. A couple who stole a few quiet minutes after their ceremony to soak it all in before greeting their elated guests. A grandmother who brought her granddaughter—the bride—into a small chapel behind a French château to bless her in private. A bride who surprised her mother by wearing a veil inspired by her own from decades ago – a tender homage to the woman she adores and the stories she hopes to carry forward.
And I could never forget the bride who held my hand before I left for the night, whispered her gratitude, and prayed over my journey as a storyteller.

DESCRIBE YOUR DREAM DESTINATION WEDDING TO PHOTOGRAPH – WHERE WOULD IT BE AND WHY?
Anywhere in Europe is a dream, but a few places hold my heart—Château d’Estoublon, Cap-Ferrat, Villa Ephrussi, Borgo Egnazia, Villa Cimbrone… Each is steeped in history, romance, and breathtaking landscapes.
The dream wedding would be a refined yet deeply meaningful celebration, effortlessly chic, with a couple who shares my heart for storytelling. Working with like-minded vendors who approach their craft with the same thoughtful intention creates a harmonious experience where every element tells part of your story. Under the European starry sky—la vie est belle!
WHAT INSPIRES YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY BEYOND WEDDINGS? ANY PERSONAL PROJECTS OR CREATIVE INFLUENCES?
I find inspiration in fine art, European architecture, literature, and the quiet poetry of everyday life. My personal projects explore themes of nostalgia, heritage, and the beauty of imperfection.
Beyond weddings, I take on a select number of interior design projects for clients who love the effortless elegance of French culture. The connection between photography and design is seamless—both are about storytelling and beauty. It is powerfully inspiring each other
Spending three months each year in Europe fuels my creative soul, refining my eye and deepening my appreciation for timeless aesthetics.

IF YOU COULD GIVE COUPLES ONE TIP FOR FEELING COMFORTABLE IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
Think of it as a dance—an exchange between you and me. You bring your story, your love, your little gestures that are uniquely you – how you hold hands, how you embrace and glance into each other’s eyes and sink into each other’s arms. I take care of the rest, the composition, the details, the right moment I press the shutter, creating an experience that feels natural and effortless.
But I can’t say this with enough heart—this is all for YOU. The more you invest in the moment—being present, feeling every emotion, letting it unfold – the more meaningful and honest your images will be. It’s not just about what I see, but what you give to the frames – your legacy. It is a heartfelt collaboration.
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO COUPLES WHEN CHOOSING A WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER?
Choose someone whose work resonates with your soul – not just visually, but emotionally. Photography is more than an investment; it’s a legacy of love. Find a photographer who truly sees you and understands your vision.
Beyond the final images, consider the experience they create. The right photographer doesn’t just capture moments; they elevate them, making the process as meaningful as the memories themselves. In short, let your heart guide you – when you know, you know.
WHEN YOU’RE NOT BEHIND THE CAMERA, HOW DO YOU SPEND YOUR FREE TIME?
I cherish quiet moments with my family, traveling, wandering through flea markets in search of hidden treasures, and exploring interiors that inspire. I love deep conversations, getting lost in a good book, and dreaming up new creative projects.

WHAT’S YOUR GEAR SETUP?
I shoot primarily with film, complemented by Canon digital cameras. My tools are chosen with intention—to create images that are timeless, luminous, and true.
For luxury weddings, I bring three film cameras and two digital bodies, while my second shooter carries two digital cameras. We utilize a thoughtful mix of fixed and zoom lenses, black-and-white and color film—because every story deserves to be told with intention.
