If you are planning a wedding for next spring – or have sadly had to postpone until then – then you’re going to love this round up of the most stunning spring bridal bouquets! Spring is the perfect time to capitalise on the abundance of beautiful blooms around; whether you keep it small and simple like a lily-of-the-valley posy, or go big with an oversized bouquet of giant dahlias and peonies, the options are endless. Keep in mind that the bouquet will be a shining star in so many of your images and even the scent of it in years to come will place you right back at your wedding. Be sure to consider not just your own personal style when selecting your bouquet but also that of your dress… bouquet shapes need to complement the silhouette of your dress.
We asked some of our amazing floral vendors to give us their thoughts on spring bouquets…
Amy Ly of Seattle wedding florist GATHER DESIGN COMPANY had this to say, “My best advice is for more people to get married in the spring because the flowers are the best! Everyone always requests ranunculus, peonies, and anemones in the summer and fall, but they’re available in the spring. Also, spring flowers have such nuanced colour so couples looking for a sophisticated colour palette should consider spring.“
Utah wedding florist THE POTTED PANSY says “Let spring be spring! Some of the most beautiful and delicate flowers only grow in spring. As florists, we wait all winter to watch them bloom for a few short weeks! Be flexible enough to allow your floral designer use the blooms that are going to be available ONLY during your spring wedding weeks. Your flexibility will give space for the very best quality and longest-lasting blooms, as well as set your wedding apart from others. This flexibility may also mean that your florist will make slight adjustments the week of the wedding. The blooming season will differ slightly from year to year, depending on warmth that year, or amount of rain, and the blooming days will differ as well. Hiring a florist that you trust, then allowing her to create based on spring growth, will give you the very best spring flowers available! And the most beautiful too!”
